I am overwhelmed due to appreciation regarding last blog. I did not know it would be praised like anything. Thanks for reading, Commenting and for your best wishes!

As per the promise made I am wrote this another blog for Job seekers. This blog is dedicated to my PROTON peers. I know all my peers are well equipped with the skill of Social media including Linkedin. I am not an expert or any extraordinary person. I just want to share my experience. I am writing some ways which may help you.

A) How to use Linkedin?

1) Use effective Headlined like

Sample: “MBA (IT & Marketing), done 3 projects in IT, headed to begin a career in IT domain”

2) Start Joining group then keep updating (with catchy words)

Sample: “Striving for a managerial job in IT industry”

* Many people will see your update and you will get email from them.

*  Don’t send your resume in hurry.

* First ask them about Job description and required detail.

*  Now send Resume with Cover letter.

* At last follow up is must.

3) Profile Stats tracking

After reading your update, if anybody visits in your profile then they may be interested in your profile. If they belong to your interest of area then do send them friend request. Be touch with them by relevant message. You can check “Trend” and can know how many people visited in your profile.

4) Twitter account setting

Twitter is made for personal micro blogging. Do not attach Twitter account with linkedin.  Linkedin is not made for sharing personal update. It’s a professional Social site. Don’t use abbreviation for updating or commenting.

In linkedin it should not be displayed as per my understanding.

5) For cracking security

For adding those who secured his/ her profile by Email id. If you are very desperate about that company then you can do this. Otherwise it would be wastage of time.

6) More tab

Job searching, Request for recommendation and Updating profile all are done by everyone but some specific can be done by you. But usage of Bloglink, Botnet and Companies application, you can make your profile different.

B)  How to send formal Email?

Some rule:

*Send your resume in PDF format. I lost one job offering because I sent my resume in MS office 2007 not in  2003.

* Resume ideal size- 25 kb- 100kb (Picture should be compressed)

* Don’t lie in any situation. There are ample of opportunities grab them.

*Subject name- Shraddha Agrawal's Resume.

*Ideal font- Sans serif with size 10.

*Mail one company at one time. Do not use BCC here.

*No abbreviation at any situation. Like don’t use plz, write it Please.

 * At initial stage I made lots of mistakes. I did not know about my target company. Online form submission is tough task. We should not fill lots of form. We need to know how to target companies according to our desired industry and profile.

* Register in different portals- I believe these are more effective.

* You can’t fight against external factor. Don’t waste your time on that. Don’t repent or comment on it. Please do what you can. You can not change anything now.

 (D) FAQ:

What should be prioritize- Profile, Location or Salary?

I understand all three are must. But as a fresher we have to do some kind of tradeoff.

As per my understanding first preference should be profile then location. Salary may neglect if we don’t have another good option.

(E) Precautions:

*  Don’t deposit any caution money if you got offer letter from any portal.

* Don’t go with designation title. Read Jobs description and R&R in detail.

Business Analyst- This designation is used in IT sector and Banking sector too.

BDE- They do segmentation, B2B marketing, Networking, Client handling and list goes on. R&R may vary according to the company.

* After getting offer letter or confirmation also please don’t say negative about your previous organization and Institution at any given condition. It may ruin your career.

* Don’t reject any company. If you get offer letter then also you can deny afterwards. Before signing a contract you can deny at any point of time. So keep patience to take decision.

* Till date I could not understand GD selection criteria. Every time I get unpredicted result. Do your best and leave it. Don’t be depressed if you are rejected. PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) works here. This is situation which is described by one sentence “Can’t help it”.

(F)  Last 15 days:

After Diwali I was alone in my room. I am so talkative and naughty in my personal life. It was like a hell to be alone. I was so depressed, irritated, frustrated and angry too. I did not know “what to say? How to say? Whom to say?

Result only one thing- Sleepless nights

 “Have patience”- This line is easy to say but tough to do.

This should not be ideal condition. But the life is full of deviation. Sigma works here everywhere in life.

 (G)  Bitter truth:

       * Nobody cares you in this practical world. You will have to make your own path. If anybody helps you in any situation then feel thanks to them and express it.

      * You can’t believe in anybody’s commitments until you get offer letter.

       *  You can’t depend on any people, consultant or organization.

This all methods are effective ways to use different tool. It will help you. But these are like “Andhere me teer marna..”. Some time we have to wait and watch. Lucky person may get it soon. We can do apply in many companies nothing more than that. Try everywhere first your college, contacts, social media, portals etc.

There is nothing in our hand. I can still feel that pain. This is what life is, you can not skip. You have to manage. If exhausted then hire a consultancy, pay and get Job.

I can not ensure you this blog will lead you to success or not but it will surely help you all.

"Struggle, Serendipity and Success"

I am so happy to announce that I am Placed; now I am "Corporate Proton Shraddha Agrawal".

I am not getting the words or sentence from where I should start this blog. I thought until I will not get Job I will not write the blog. Many colleagues used to ask me – Why are you not writing? I didn’t have any answer at that time. Here is the answer!

I decided that I will write only after getting a job. I made it today itself. I am on top of the world. Today I knew- “Kabhi kabhi sapne pure bhi hote h….”

I am finally placed in “Success Solution” (http://www.successsolution.co.in/) at Pune. It’s my dream city. Now I am confident that I will grow as time passes. Because it’s an IT hub & have studied all now it’s time to implement all learning’s. Along with that I will rock with Nupur.

After applying in 800 companies and sending 1100 customized email; I got 27 replies. In that only 8 were relevant. I picked 4 of them after considering all situations and finally got this job. Still 3 job leads are in process. Final job I got from Linkedin from Shridhar Sir. I have a great network in Linkedin now. I will write one more blog within 48 hours & topic will be “How to search Job”. This would be dedicated to all my PROTON peers. Hope it will help you all.

First of all I want to say Thanks to my momdad, bhai and Nupur for always being with me in every situation. They are my strength, my love, my passion and my life. I am able to survive proudly only because of them. I am so blessed that you all are part of my life. I have two more friends forever; Sonica and Yasmin.

"You all love me not because of I am a special person; But the truth is that I am special person because you all love me. I am so blessed & lucky to have you in my life."

Thanks are not the word by which I can express my feeling. This feeling is beyond any word in any language. Only one thing I can say “Love you a lot”. Be as you are. You all are reason of my existence. J I have everything in my life. I got everything in my life sooner or later depend on the situation.

Flashback of my life:

Answer for everyone who always asked me; why I stood against of mass when another side was my peers. Many people think I have attitudes. I don’t know what to say them. Frankly speaking does not matter for me those don’t understand the situation deeply and make their own fantasy world to live.

I believe in one concept of life which is said by my Mom- "Be positive; it will help you always."

I was throughout topper in my academics till 12th class and Gold medalist also for being a state topper. I had a dream to be a Doctor since I was 3 year old (Tab mujhe pata bhi nai tha ki Doctors karte kya h). I took 2 years drop for the same and studied 18 hours a day for continue 2 years. But unfortunately I didn’t get selected in PMT. Each time I selected for BDS. That was a day when I was thinking about suicide.
But my mom said to me- "Jo hota h achhe ke liye hota h.....I know YOU WILL DO IT" & I have made it after getting 93 percentile. Being a Hindi medium student and Bio background student, it was tough for me.

This is the reason I respect always what I have. Because I came from worst situation which no one can predict as per the career is concern. I am so lucky that I have the best parents in this world. This advice saved me & made me what I am. This advice is a reason of my existence. I am so happy now from my life. I learned a lot from PROTON. I agree that there are lots of improvement areas which will be improved soon for sure.

Life @ PROTON:

I was so straight forward, full of anger, ready to learn, homesick and so innocent at that time. On the first day it was a great feeling but I was exhausted. Second day top faculty had to come in Chaupaal because many student was saying that they can not sustain in this hectic schedule. The day three I felt dizzy and waited half an hour in the out side of the office and finally got permission to go out of PROTON. I went hospital and did all general checkup including blood test. Next morning I was not able to get up from the bed then went hospital. I was shocked to see that I was suffering from Jaundice. I was stuck and blank for a moment. I was alone in Indore. No relative and at that time had no friends. Only three days have passed and had no choice except going back to home. I rushed out my home in same evening because as time was passing my weakness was increasing. I reached my home town Raipur. My parents was in tension that what I am doing and why? But after seeing my condition they understood. Doctor wants me to take bed rest for 3 weeks. I had no word to say. Every one was saying postpone your admission and go later in Spring09 batch but I said I will manage. After 21 day I came back Indore and started a new journey. I was feeling scared, enthusiastic, happy and nervous. In short I was not able to understand what to do.

Alone in stranger place where group has already made by my peers. I feel like stranger in every stage. Fortunately I got a good friend and roommate Yasmin. Then I started learning everything. At initial stage I didn’t know even how to operate in MS Office. But then slowly and gradually I started learning. I learned ample things from Blogging to Walking, From Presentation skill to Social Media and list goes on. If I will start write then it will exceed two pages almost. I faced many problems, many controversies but fought against them all and finally won. The best part of whole curriculum was IT classes. We enjoyed & learned like anything.

I want to say thanks to our Chief Mentor Mr. Sandeep Manudhane. He is the person who motivated me a lot. I respect him because of his knowledge and fighter attitude. I learned a lot by him. Again it will extent two pages if I will start writing that what all thing I learned by SM sir.

“Mahabharata to CORPORATE life”

Indian mythology is the asset of Indian Culture. It’s full of mystery, lesson and attraction too. I personally love it and am eager to learn it at length. In this blog I am writing some learning from Incidents which we can apply in corporate life. I will try to connect both scenarios. any persons may have different prospective for the same. It is to the best of my knowledge.

Glimpse of Mahabharata – The Mahabharata tells the story of two sets of paternal first cousins;

A) 5 sons of the deceased king Pandu (called Pandavas) &

B) 100 sons of blind King Dhritarashtra (called Kauravas)

They became bitter rivals, and opposed each other in war for possession of the ancestral Bharata kingdom that was “Hastinapura”. It is situated near Ganga river in north central India.This epic is written by Veda Vyasa.

"Kurukshetra"

Incident-1: Initially at the time of formation of opponent team for upcoming war. Both team members went to Lord Krishna for help. Duryodhan (Kauravas) was first to reach the place. Lord Krishna allowed him to choose what he wanted.

He had two options-

(a) Only Krishnaji or

(b) Whole set of army

Duryodhan chose (b) option and we all know the result.

Learning for corporate life- If we have to choose between

(a) Capable person in every dimension (Valuable) &

(b) Technology (Materialistic )

Just wait for 15 seconds and think-“What you will do?”

I will choose (a) option because capable person will be the real asset. If not initially,  within few months or years that person will be able to manage technology as well. Technology itself can not do anything. We need a skilled person to utilize it properly. It is created by human; human is not made by technology. I will go always for valuable option rather than materialistic option.

Incident-2: Gandhari, the wife of Dhritarashtra and the mother of Kauravas is a very interesting character from Mahabharat. Married to a blind man, she thought she should not enjoy any luxuries of life that are denied to her husband, and blinded her eyes with a cloth. The learning: Kauravas have only aggression, not calmness.

Kunti, the mother of Pandavas was always there for her children.

Learning for corporate life- In corporate language we can represent it in Yin-Yan concept. It includes each perspective like aggression and humbleness etc. One survey says that if a panel (Board Of Directors) includes female candidate then the possibility to get success automatically rises dramatically. This mindset is given by nature itself. In any decision everything should be included like competitiveness, passion, CSR (Corporate social responsibility), humbleness and amiability.

And one thing more, we should not blind ourselves after striking with any problem. We should fight against it or should take the right way to manage it.

Incident-3: Dhritarashtra (blind king and father of Duyrodhana) wanted to know every update of Mahabharat. Sanjay had the capability to see beyond limitation. He had supernatural eyes (Divya-Drishti). He used to tell whole scenario for Dhritarashtra.

Learning for corporate life- If you are CEO or Higher authority of any company. You need not to divulge in technicality so much. You just can outsource employee who can do it better than you. You need not to be a part of every micro point.

Incident-4: Cheer Haran of Draupadi was attempted in the court of Hastinapur and the witness to that were all the Pandavas and the Kauravas and other ministers and servants. Duryodhana, being inspired by his wicked uncle Sakuni, arranged for a game of dice between the Pandavas and the Kauravas and invited the five Pandavas to play. In the game, Yudhisthira lost everything including Draupadi.

Same incident in corporate- Phaneesh Murthy was the Head of the sales and marketing and Director on the board at “Infosys”. Reka Maximovitch (Reka) alleged that Phaneesh had sexually harassed her and unlawfully terminated her employment.

Learning- Mahabharata incident leads to the war and Infosys incident ruined brand equity all together. If you will not respect women then you don’t have any scope to get success.

Incident-5: Abhimanyu (Son of Arjun-Pandavas) learned the knowledge of entering the deadly and virtually impenetrable Chakravyuha from Arjuna as an unborn child in his mother's womb.  When he was about to explain how to exit from the Chakravyuha, he realises that Subadra is asleep and stops expounding on the Chakravyuha further. As a result, the baby Abhimanyu in the womb did not get a chance to learn how to come out of it.

He knew how to enter? But he did not know how to exit.

He fought and lost his life at a time of war.

Learning for corporate life- If you don’t know that how to tackle this software then don’t go for that although your competitors are doing that. If you are not comfortable with JAVA then be on DOT NET. I agree that Java has certain upgraded features which Dotnet doesn’t have. Take project according to your caliber so that you can manage all crises.

Incident-6: In Pandavas everybody has their own capability and they are known for it till date. Yudhishthira , Bhima &Arjun are known for truth , power & aim respectively.

Learning for corporate life- Earn in your strength. Don’t copy others. Everybody has his/her own strength and weakness.

Incident-7: In Gita Lord Krishna said that “Karma karo phal ki ikcha mat karo”

Learning for corporate life- “Try your best and leave the rest” It is my philosophy of life. It is thoroughly applicable in corporate.

But one thing I want to add that – “Competition is a good thing but envy or war is a bad idea. It will destroy everything for sure. Everybody will have to lose something. It is lose-lose situation although you may emerge as a winner.”
