"Hidden Central Beauty"

This is my first blog, so I want to introduce myself. I am a student in PROTON b-school at Indore & working as “Marketing trainee at Humint Consulting Pvt. Ltd”. My home town is Raipur (Chhattisgarh).

My blog caption is slightly philosophical. What comes in your mind when you hear this word-- “Hidden Central Beauty?”

Wait & Think for a while for better conclusion and if not, I have some fruitful insights for you.

“Hidden Central Beauty” is basically indicating information about Central India. It includes Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh came into existence on November1, 2000. Earlier it was a part of southern-eastern district of Madhya Pradesh.

Some facts about this state (Chhattisgarh):

1) Chhattisgarh is the richest State in terms of mineral wealth. It has approx. 28 varieties of major minerals, including diamonds. There are huge coal reserves approx. 87 per cent of India in this state.

2) It has many tourists’ spots like Rajim, Champaranya, Dongargarh, Laxman Temple, Gandheswar Temple, Sirpur, etc. Sirpur is on spotlight now days.

3) The state has one of the biggest collections of Rice germ-plasm and primarily known as “Dhaan ka katora”.

4) Many state owned enterprises i.e., Government of India undertakings like Bhilai Steel Plant, S.E.C. Railway Zone, BALCO Aluminium Plant (Korba), and NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd) at Korba and Sipat (Bilaspur) and S.E.C.L. (South Eastern Coalfields Limited). Korba & Bilaspur are the power hubs of the state, from where the electricity is supplied to several other Indian states. Chhattisgarh's southern area contains iron ore which NMDC is mining to meet iron demand in India as well as export. NMDC is located in Dantewara district. Recently ESSAR has started transporting iron ore through pipe lines to Vizag.

5) Power Finance Corporation says that C.G. has a potential of producing 35000 MW for 100 years.

These are facts about this state, but I couldn’t understand, why people underestimate Chhattisgarh. Why people have misconceptions towards it.I am agreeing that there are some loopholes. But nothing is perfect in this world even America itself. While meeting with foreigners, why Indians feel inferiority complexes?

Why??

We have everything in India. In one hand, we have one of the seven wonders- The Taj-Mahal and on the other hand, we also have booming sectors, descent culture & strongest four pillars for democracy viz. Legislature, Executive, Judiciary and Press.

I put this question into your court, “Why Central India is neglected?”

It would be honour for me to read your comments on the same.
