“Mahabharata to CORPORATE life”

Indian mythology is the asset of Indian Culture. It’s full of mystery, lesson and attraction too. I personally love it and am eager to learn it at length. In this blog I am writing some learning from Incidents which we can apply in corporate life. I will try to connect both scenarios. any persons may have different prospective for the same. It is to the best of my knowledge.

Glimpse of Mahabharata – The Mahabharata tells the story of two sets of paternal first cousins;
A) 5 sons of the deceased king Pandu (called Pandavas) &
B) 100 sons of blind King Dhritarashtra (called Kauravas)
They became bitter rivals, and opposed each other in war for possession of the ancestral Bharata kingdom that was “Hastinapura”. It is situated near Ganga river in north central India.This epic is written by Veda Vyasa.
"Kurukshetra"
Incident-1: Initially at the time of formation of opponent team for upcoming war. Both team members went to Lord Krishna for help. Duryodhan (Kauravas) was first to reach the place. Lord Krishna allowed him to choose what he wanted.
He had two options-
(a) Only Krishnaji or
(b) Whole set of army
Duryodhan chose (b) option and we all know the result.
Learning for corporate life- If we have to choose between
(a) Capable person in every dimension (Valuable) &
(b) Technology (Materialistic )
Just wait for 15 seconds and think-“What you will do?”
I will choose (a) option because capable person will be the real asset. If not initially,  within few months or years that person will be able to manage technology as well. Technology itself can not do anything. We need a skilled person to utilize it properly. It is created by human; human is not made by technology. I will go always for valuable option rather than materialistic option.

Incident-2: Gandhari, the wife of Dhritarashtra and the mother of Kauravas is a very interesting character from Mahabharat. Married to a blind man, she thought she should not enjoy any luxuries of life that are denied to her husband, and blinded her eyes with a cloth. The learning: Kauravas have only aggression, not calmness.
Kunti, the mother of Pandavas was always there for her children.
Learning for corporate life- In corporate language we can represent it in Yin-Yan concept. It includes each perspective like aggression and humbleness etc. One survey says that if a panel (Board Of Directors) includes female candidate then the possibility to get success automatically rises dramatically. This mindset is given by nature itself. In any decision everything should be included like competitiveness, passion, CSR (Corporate social responsibility), humbleness and amiability.
And one thing more, we should not blind ourselves after striking with any problem. We should fight against it or should take the right way to manage it.

Incident-3: Dhritarashtra (blind king and father of Duyrodhana) wanted to know every update of Mahabharat. Sanjay had the capability to see beyond limitation. He had supernatural eyes (Divya-Drishti). He used to tell whole scenario for Dhritarashtra.
Learning for corporate life- If you are CEO or Higher authority of any company. You need not to divulge in technicality so much. You just can outsource employee who can do it better than you. You need not to be a part of every micro point.

Incident-4: Cheer Haran of Draupadi was attempted in the court of Hastinapur and the witness to that were all the Pandavas and the Kauravas and other ministers and servants. Duryodhana, being inspired by his wicked uncle Sakuni, arranged for a game of dice between the Pandavas and the Kauravas and invited the five Pandavas to play. In the game, Yudhisthira lost everything including Draupadi.
Same incident in corporate- Phaneesh Murthy was the Head of the sales and marketing and Director on the board at “Infosys”. Reka Maximovitch (Reka) alleged that Phaneesh had sexually harassed her and unlawfully terminated her employment.
Learning- Mahabharata incident leads to the war and Infosys incident ruined brand equity all together. If you will not respect women then you don’t have any scope to get success.

Incident-5: Abhimanyu (Son of Arjun-Pandavas) learned the knowledge of entering the deadly and virtually impenetrable Chakravyuha from Arjuna as an unborn child in his mother's womb.  When he was about to explain how to exit from the Chakravyuha, he realises that Subadra is asleep and stops expounding on the Chakravyuha further. As a result, the baby Abhimanyu in the womb did not get a chance to learn how to come out of it.
He knew how to enter? But he did not know how to exit.
He fought and lost his life at a time of war.
Learning for corporate life- If you don’t know that how to tackle this software then don’t go for that although your competitors are doing that. If you are not comfortable with JAVA then be on DOT NET. I agree that Java has certain upgraded features which Dotnet doesn’t have. Take project according to your caliber so that you can manage all crises.

Incident-6: In Pandavas everybody has their own capability and they are known for it till date. Yudhishthira , Bhima &Arjun are known for truth , power & aim respectively.
Learning for corporate life- Earn in your strength. Don’t copy others. Everybody has his/her own strength and weakness.

Incident-7: In Gita Lord Krishna said that “Karma karo phal ki ikcha mat karo”
Learning for corporate life- “Try your best and leave the rest” It is my philosophy of life. It is thoroughly applicable in corporate.
"Gita Saar"
I tried my best to connect all dots as per my understanding.

But one thing I want to add that – Competition is a good thing but envy or war is a bad idea. It will destroy everything for sure. Everybody will have to lose something. It is lose-lose situation although you may emerge as a winner.”

"My understanding of life"

Hello friends,

I am writing some thoughts what I admire in my own personal life. These thoughts are written by anonymous writers. These are very effective, practical and mind boggling thoughts as per my understanding.
Hope you will also like it!

1. “Try your best and leave the rest” – It’s my philosophy of life and I always work hard and believe somewhere sometime I will get result.It creates self satisfaction. We need to understand one thing that no one can get instant result. We have to keep patience.

2. “Learn by fun” – Each individual is good in some or the other point. We just have to find our strength. For example - I have a keen interest in OSN (Online Social Networking) whenever I get time I start exploring it; so it’s a very easy to grab the depth understanding of it for me. It called learn by fun in which we don’t need to put extra effort for learning anything. Even we don’t feel exhausted by doing task in which we are interested.

3. Situation 1- When Snake is alive, Snake eats Ants.
    Situation 2- When Snake is dead, Ants eat Snake.
   “Learning - Time can turn at any time. Don't neglect anyone in your life.”
We should respect everyone irrespective of their post and eligibility. We can really learn different task from different person. Everybody has some unique capability, we should not neglect anyone.

4. A good way to change someone's attitude is to change our own because “The same sun which melts butter also hardens clay!” - Life is as we think, so think beautifully. Life is full of fun just enjoy it. We should be flexible enough to manage it properly. Life is full of fun and challenges too. It’s totally depended on us how we tackle it.

5. “Whenever you want to know how rich you are, never count your currency. Just try to Drop a Tear and count how many hands reach out to WIPE it.” – We smile for everyone but we cry only for our dear ones. They can understand us even if we don’t say anything to them. I would like to thank God for giving me such person in my life.

6. Never change your originality for the sake of others, because no one can play your role better than you. So be yourself, because whatever you are, YOU are the best - There is minute difference between confidence and ego, we need to understand it. Be confident enough and believe in yourself that “YOU ARE THE BEST”. You can do everything what you want to do and can get the desired result. Remember, those who win are those who believe they can.

7. Baby mosquito came back after 1st time flying. His dad asked him-"How do you feel?" He replied-"It was wonderful, everyone was clapping for me!" Now that what I call Positive Attitude - You can conquer the world by positivity. It is proved that if you say positive things then you create positive atmosphere by yourself. By negative thoughts you create depression in your own mind. So it’s better to create positive one for your betterment.

8. “Be Emotional intelligent but not rude” – We should keep strong EQ (Emotional quotient) but on the other hand we should respect others emotions also. We should never forget them who helped us. We should feel gratitude towards them throughout of our life. Respect what you have because others may have it. Ask the importance of it from them you will be surprise to listen that.

9. “If you have much, give of your wealth; if you have little, give of your heart”- Help others in any way who need you. You will feel satisfaction and will get blessing from bottom of their heart.

10. “Pyramid takes time to build” – If you fail at some point in life. Don’t think that you are a failure or you can not do it. Just keep the winners attitude and never give up. Believe in yourself and think once that “Which takes more time to build- A Pyramid or A Building.” You will get answer by yourself.

I hope you will achieve success some or the other day in whatever way you define it and what gives you the maximum happiness in life.

Best wishes for you!
Thank you!

(* These are the different dimensions of my understanding. You may have different opinion for the same.)

An Event In PROTON-- "Thank God It's Friday....!!!"

This was an awesome event in PROTON b-school,Indore on 19th march 2010. I also participated in this event.

This poem is dedicated to all my friends who told me to write this poem in my blog post.

Thank you so much for your precious appreciations; it really encouraged me a lot. I am writing it for you friends and topic you know and if not sooner you will get to know while reading.

Here comes...

"Hinduyo Ka Shamshan, Musalmano Ka Kabristan Aur Isaiyo Ka Graveyard,
Yani Bhartiya Sarkari Aspatal Ka General Ward;

Ward K Bhitar Bhartiya Loktantra Ki Tarah Dagamagata Hua Palang,
Aur Us Par Baithkar Apni Hi Maut Ki Tayyari Karte Huye Baba Malang;

Khud Apni Asliyat Par Shankka Karti Sarkari Dawaiyan,
Aur Ward Ke Bhitar Dikhti Maut Ki Parcchaiyan;

Bematlab Muskurata Hua Mahatma Gandhi Ka Chitra,
Aur Doctor To Aise Gayab Jaise Netao Se Charitra;

Gulshan Nanda Ka Upanyas Padhti Nurse,
Aur Akeli Nurse Ko Dekhkar Mariz Ki Aankho Mein Pida Ke Bavjud Harsh;

Itne Mein Mariz Ne Nurse Se Bola, Aaj To Meri Maut Ko Zindgi Bana Do,
Ho Ske! Ho Ske…!!! To Marte Waqt Pe To Muskura Do;

Tumhara Muskurana Mere Maut Mein Jaan Dal Dega,
Nurse Boli k Tumhe Dekhkar Muskurai To Doctor ,
To Docter Tumse Pehle Meri Jaan Nikal Dega;

Agar Private Ward Mein Hota To Muskurati,
Are Bewkuf Itna Bhi Nhi Janta K Muftakhoro K General Ward Mein,
Maut K Alawa Kisi Ko Hasi Nhi Aati...,,,Kisi ko nind nai aati;

Iski Hasi Me Na Jane Mariz Ka Dard Kaha Kho Gaya,
Bemaut Marne Walo Me Ek Aur Shamil Ho Gaya;

Ye wo Jagah Hai, Jaha Her Dil Apni Sanso Ko Khojta Hai,
Aur Docter Ko Bhagwan Maanne Se Pehle Har Mariz Kai Baar Sochta Hai;

Phir Bhi Yaha Zindagi Ka Palda Maut Per Hamesha Bhari Hota Hai,
Kyoki Bharat Me Her Miniute Ek Baccha Paida Hona Hardum Jaari Hota Hai;

Kyo Yaha Her Mariz Ko Apni Zindagi Daav Per Lagani Hoti Hai..?????
Aakhir In Docters Ko Aisi Kaun Si Daulat Kamani Hoti Hai…?????

Yaha Maut Aur Zindagi Ke Bich Jyada Pharak Nai Hota,
Kyoki Thik Se Let Kar Rone Ke Liye Ek Bed Tak Nasib Nai Hota;

Marne Ke Baad Ki Bhi Guarantee Nai Ki Kab Tumhe Uthaker Bahar Phek De,
Aur Chand Rupyo Ke Liye Tumhara Kaun Sa Ang Nikal Kar Bahar Bech De;

Band Karo Ye Tamasha Ab Aur Sahan Nai Hota,
Jala Do Aise Aspatalo Ko Jinhe Kisi Per Raham Nai Hota;

Jaha Docter "Manavta Aur Insaniyat" Ko Raund Chukka Hai,
Aur Marizo Ki Jaan Bachane Ki Kasam Kab Ka Bhul Chukka Hai;

Are.. Jab Tak Log Is Tarah Se Sasti Maut Marti Rahenge,
YAAD RAKHIYE..
Bharat Ki Pragati Per Har Roj Sawal Khade Hote Rahenge…
Bharat Ki Pragati Per Har Roj Sawal Khade Hote Rahenge…"

Thank You!!

The life that we can’t even predict

This blog is dedicated to my parents. I have the best parents in this world; I love my parents a lot. If I will succeed in life then the credit will go to my parents for understanding me up to such an extent. God gave me the biggest gift which is enough to pray and believe in the him.
          Did you ever think about those who don’t have this gift (Parents)? In this blog, I am going to write about Orphans. There are 16.2mn orphans in the world today. Since childhood, I had sympathy towards them; still when I see them I feel restless.
          I want to share one experience where I got an opportunity to interact with them. Because of they had no parents; they were compelled to work under Mr X. We will try to understand the situation clearly by a video. It may entertain you but it was mind boggling moment for me.

This video is taken by me in train.
Please click on link.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdX5HX3mKYM

Once I was travelling in the train:
Scene 1- One small girl and one boy came to our birth and started singing and dancing.
Scene 2- All were enjoying their performance but I felt sympathy towards them.
Scene 3- One person was continually demanding songs.
Scene 4- After completing their performance, I gave some biscuit to them.

          I started talking to them and came to know that they were doing this all stuff under one head girl named Gudiya. Gudiya was controlling 13 other children like them. You will be shocked to know that they provided only 3 Rs/- per day & the head girl was provide only 5 Rs/- per day for doing all this stuff. They were continuously answering my questions because I was giving one biscuit for every answer they gave. They were so hungry. They told me that Gudiya have to report Mr. X (They don’t know about that person who is behind the curtain and getting done this all stuff). Later I came to know they are sibling. Their parents died last year.
          One question arises in my mind- “Why they are doing this all? Do you think they would have done the same if their parents were still alive? I believe- No, they won’t.” They have lost one of the basic, important and precious gifts of God. Because of that they will have to suffer throughout their life. They will have to do lots of struggle to be educated and they will not get proper guidance-“What is right and what is wrong?” You can sense the pain that they feel alone in this dangerous world.

Please Just click on this link. After seeing this video you can sense the pain of them.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azcbQNcDzZk

Basic problems what they have to face:
  1. They don’t get proper education. Being an illiterate, it’s tough to survive in this knowledge management era.
  2. Female child have to face one biggest problem. Orphan girls are often sexually exploited by unknown person and even by their relatives.
  3. They are compelled to do work for their basic needs. Child labour is one such social issue which arises also because they don’t even get food to eat.
  4. They lose all memorable and magical moment which they could feel with their parents.
  5. They don’t get proper advice and support. Being a small child they are mislead by evil’s mind.
         If we compare India and America we get to know that India has an orphan crisis. India has about three times the American population living in one third of the space. It creates intense poverty, famine, drought, AIDS and other diseases. In such conditions, it is no surprise that many parents die. Some parents are compelled to leave their children on the street due to poverty.

Facts:

  1.  Nearly 144 million children across the world are orphans.
  2.  Every 2 seconds, another orphan dies due to malnutrition.
  3.  6,000 children are orphaned by AIDS everyday, which means a newly orphaned child every 14 seconds.
Many non-profit Organisations are dedicated to the rescue of orphans. Some organisation in India which are working for their welfare. Ex.- Angel Orphanage Home,Children Walking Tall,Sharing Smile Ministry,Mercy Home etc.

I want to do something about them. I am searching some charities who are taking some action for welfare of orphans. I am ready to work in project also. Please give me advice from where and from which orphanage home should I approach.

I will wait for your valuable suggestion.
Thank you!

Social Media is not a Synonymus for Chat!

Let me allow to start the blog with one question.
Do you have any account in Orkut?
Do you know how to use it?
             What a silly question I am asking. Surely you are familiar with Orkut. I guess you also have an account in Facebook, linkedin, Twitter etc. Did you ever think about the real and factual usage of it?

            "Social media describes websites that allow users to share content and making relation. It is called Relationship building management."
             Social network services are web based and provide a variety of ways to interact, such as e-mail, blogging, instant messaging and photo sharing.The 4Cs of social media are: Content, Collaboration, Community and Collective Intelligence.
             Relation building is very effective and required tool for marketing. It is going to be mandatory for everyone in future who wants to survive in tomorrow's competitive world. We can understand this concept with the help of one conversation.
Example:
Person A: I am a marketer.
Person B: I blog about marketing.
Person C: I have a podcast about marketing bloggers.
Person D: I tweet about podcasters that talk about marketing bloggers.
Person E: I have a Facebook group for twitter users that tweet about podcasters that talk about marketing bloggers.
              What it means? Now each person is connected to other one through Social Media. They have built their network so messily so that they can grow rapidly. Lots of companies like,Neytri (India's Largest Business Media Portal) is promoting themselves and make huge revenue by social sphere (http://www.neytri.com/).
